Drawing on influences from both Brutalist architecture and ancient aqueducts from the Roman Empire, Danish designers Kristian Sofus Hansen and Tommy Hyldahl created the Bow Bench (2022) for 101 Copenhagen. The rhythm of the tall arches and long legs creates a graceful silhouette that’s both airy and grounded. The bench is cast in lightweight fiber concrete and hand painted with multiple layers of paint, resulting in a textured and resilient surface. Made in China.
