Designed to meet the need for extra storage in compact spaces, the Nest Storage Bed (2014) also holds its own in larger ones. With a mattress platform that rises on smooth-operating gas pistons built to withstand daily use, Nest keeps its storage compartment inconspicuous. Slipcovers are removable for dry cleaning. Mattress sold separately. (Mattresses more than 10 inches high interfere with the opening motion of the platform. We recommend our Sonno Mattress.) Made in Italy.

Niels Bendtsen

Born in Denmark, Niels Bendtsen immigrated to Canada with his family in 1951. Bendtsen trained as an apprentice for his father, who designed and built Scandinavian furniture. Through working with his father, Bendtsen gained valuable skills and a respect for non-industrial, hand-built traditions, but he was also intrigued by new technologies and ways to satisfy increasing demand.
